| Let's begin with four snapshots taken on
08 January 2008. It was my brother's 48th birthday but I was in
Cold Spring, New York with some friends I had not seen in over
thirty-eight years. I'm the big one who looks like a drunk.
My rosacea was blooming that night. |

I saw Tom last in 2005 when I was back in
New York for a funeral.
I had not seen Geoff since November 1974 when I has in New York on leave
from Boot Camp (we were driving around Fishkill, NY when the car ran out
of gas; It was like 2:00AM).
This was the first time I had seen Chuck since 1970, when he was in his
father's car at my father's former Esso (pre-Exxon) station on Chestnut
Street in Cold Spring getting a fill-up. |
